NOLA Fashion Week (NOLAFW) debuted March 2011 and has quickly become a champion of fashion in New Orleans and the greater Southern Region, garnering over 40,000,000 media impressions.
Through NOLAFW, NOLA Fashion Council aims to create opportunity and exposure for both established and up-and-coming Southern based (or born) designers while making an economic and artistic impact on the fashion industry. Biannually, NOLAFW showcases designer talent in Runway Shows and Presentations, offers industry-based Educational Workshops and provides a Fashion Market to both designers and artisans.
NOLAFW promotes New Orleans as the artistic and fashion-forward venue that it already is- perfect for editorial coverage. By highlighting the rebirth of the city, all of its amenities and culture, we are helping to put the city on the map as a destination for global Fashion, Entertainment and Art industry events.

Educational Workshops
The NOLA Fashion Council launches its third season of NOLAFW with an expanded offering of Educational Workshops to educate budding Southern industry hopefuls about the business of fashion and beauty. The program is modeled after similar industry events such as Vogue University and CFDA accredited workshops.
The four-day event held during NOLAFW will offer 6 class tracks in an intimate setting and includes hands-on workshops and lectures hosted by industry insiders and experts including designers, photographers, bloggers, marketers, entrepreneurs, hair dressers and stylists.
The event will close with an industry panel open to all workshop participants.
Fashion Market
Open to buyers and the public, NOLA Fashion Market will present emerging independent Southern based and born designer collections, as well as local artisan brands displayed in the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.
The intention of the Fashion Market is to give emerging designers and artisans the opportunity and exposure to grow their brands. The secondary goal is to provide a venue for national brands to connect with Southern fashion-minded consumers.
The market will be open to the public in the afternoons and to the guests of the Runway Shows in the evenings.
